Where have you been spa girl?

So, I've been super busy. I know this is something that people always say but really I have been super busy. Over the past 2 months, we've added over 20 new spa girls to my spa team and this means training and traveling for me. I've been spa'ing and working, working and spa'ing! I've missed my blog though!
Last week was Teacher Appreciation week, so I've been in schools all week. School spa parties are the best. We come in complimentary as a part of our Spa at Work program and get to give back to those who give to our children everyday. I hope you got the teachers in your life a gift or a card (it's not too late if you missed it). As you know, I taught school for 12 years. I've taught middle school and high school in subjects Reading, Health, and Physical Education. I love to teach. Its a gift that I have and education is a passion of mine. Even though I sell BeautiControl now, I still get to teach. It's just a part of who I am to educate.
When you are a good teacher, the hours of work that you put in to be effective would blow the minds of many. I remember logging the number of hours that I worked in a month. I broke it down to see my hourly pay and it was below minimum wage! Ain't nobody got time for that!  I was grateful however. It was the job that I chose, went to college for, and loved so very much. However, the pay was simply not good. The furlough days in Georgia caused my salary to continue to drop each year. This was a strain financially on my family. There are days when I wear myself out as a spa girl but when I look at the rewards, I stay committed. I can give money, pay bills, save money, have a little fun, and still have money left over. If I am down to ZERO dollars, I can write myself a paycheck through my work. I love the financial freedom. When I quit teaching, I did step out on faith but I had a plan to sell BeautiControl and build a team of spa girls and guys. I met around 15 people last week who plan to quit teaching with no real solid plans. They are taking some serious faith walks. They are just fed up with not having enough money and believe that there must be a better way. People are hungry for an opportunity to advance and some are hungry for an opportunity to simply have a month where the bills aren't behind. It reminded me that thousands of people join Direct Sales businesses each day looking for hope. This is why I am committed to my business. I get the chance to show someone that they can have a brighter day financially.
When I pampered teachers and school staff, I got to see how badly they neglect themselves as well. They LOVED every minute of our program. I could tell that some of them were just tired. There were large knots in their necks and some had headaches. They would come in, get that heated neck wrap and immediately slip away into peace. They had their feet up, our Nourishing Eye Pads on their eyes and they soaked up every minute of the time they got to spend with us. I remember getting one lady up, she looked at her watch and said, "5 more minutes please." I love what I do!  It takes no time to teach someone how to de-stress. They are more productive at work and will probably go home less stressed. I remember coming home so tired that I did not want to hear the word "Mommy." I did not want to cook, I did not want to clean, and I did not want to start working all over again. But, that's what I had to do each and everyday. It would have been so great if I could come home and just take a nap. It was awesome to bring the spa to those teachers who will leave the school house and go home and begin working all over again with their family. This is also why I stay committed to this business. I can think of so many ways and reasons as to why BeautiControl is so important to me. I made a personal list that keeps me motivated. Take a second today, and make your own personal list as to why your job is so important to you. It will keep you moving! Can't think of anything? Well, maybe its time for your own faith move.

Why I must spa:

1. I must spa to have funds to give (tithes, offerings, missions, charity), pay bills, save (emergency funds,retirement and college), investing, do extra things for my children, traveling and have some fun.
2. I must spa to show my team how to work their business and to be able to show another woman or man how to have the freedom that I have now.
3. I must spa have the ability to pick my kids of up from school with no problem and be with them after school. I want to be the first person they see in the morning, afternoon, and when they go to bed.
4. I must spa to be able to pay for college for my children if they do not get a scholarship. I'm so blessed that my oldest son is college bound in the Fall!
5. I must spa to be able to help someone de-stress so that they do not come home yelling or unintentionally neglecting their kids or spouse due to fatigue. 
6. I must spa to show people that Direct Sales is not a scam and that you can have an awesome career in it for a long time.
7. I must spa to show people that you can work a business with integrity.
8. I must spa to show people that when you work together as a team everyone wins.
9. I must spa to show my children that it is only through hard work that dreams come true and that if you are willing to work and live like no one else, you will live like no one else.
10. I must spa to show people that stress causes health problems! You must invest in your most valuable asset and resource. You!
11. I must spa because it feels so darn good!!!! I'm committed!
