Purpose Driven
Today, I had a meeting today with a very successful gentleman. He is in the top 20 in his company. A high six figure earner. He loves it and is passionate about it. His energy was amazing. I could truly feel him. Its an entrepreneur thing! Some people just don't get our minds and I got his. He wanted to share with me his business opportunity because he felt that I would do great in their business. He asked me why I chose BeautiControl. He said that I could probably make so much money with other company business models versus direct selling. He kept saying, "with your drive and skills, you would be on top." I want to share with you what I shared with him.
I love BeautiControl because of what we stand for. BeautiControl is a beauty subsidiary of Tupperware Brands, Inc. Yes, the old plastic company. The company itself as we know it today is 33 years old but its roots go back to the 1930's. I could list all of the many awards, accolades, and accomplishments, and amazing products but that's not why I stay. I stay because of the many lives that are changed in this business, the lessons that this business has taught me, the friendships that I have gained, and the platform that I get to use to accomplish my dreams.
I believe in missions. I am so passionate about the amazing work that missionaries are doing across the earth to serve others. I love to give. It just ticks me off to see people struggling to raise money for a mission trip when purses are bought every hour for $15,000. Grrrrrr. Each month, we host an Ultimate Spa Party. There, we collect non perishables for the Norcross Co-Op Ministry. They do an amazing work in the community. So BeautiControl provides me the ability to give back in a meaningful way.
BeautiControl is not a cookie cutter business. Personally, I've worked my business in many ways. I am full time with it now but there was once a time when I worked my business with a full plate. I was a full time brick and mortar teacher, online teacher, track coach, Doctoral student, wife and mom of 3 boys all at the same time. I still look back and wonder how the heck I did it! I see the value of being able to work a business on your own terms. To often in Direct Sales, we preach that there is only one way to do something. Its NOT. You have to find your own rhythm and do what works for you. I had my best years in my business when I moved to the beat of my own drum using my God given gifts and talents. Once I started taking the advice of others, my business began to fail miserably. I love that fact that BeautiControl allows me to start over each day, fresh and new.
We have the most amazing programs. I really believe in Tupperware Brands Chain of Confidence program. The Chain of Confidence mission is to empower women, enable their financial independence and change lives through opportunity, support, and relationships. How awesome is that. There has been a massive wave of life coaches and opportunities to become certified in that area. This tells me that women are hungry for life changes. While I am not a life coach, it is my passion to empower women. I can't stand it when women say, " I don't do women." We rock! When we come together, mighty and amazing things happen. We have also have the Women Helping Others (WHO) Foundation. The WHO Foundation is a non profit and was established in 1993 and has given over $5.1 million to other non profits. I love our commitment to serving.
Since I've been a business owner, I've experienced the most amazing times and the worst times. I have met some awesome, smart, ambitious, and beautiful men and women. I've met some of the very best friends ever. The personal growth in myself is priceless. I could write about that for days. I've learned patience, resilience, to fight for what I believe in, to dream, and to face some of my persoanl fears head on. I believe that before BeautiControl I was good. My business is helping me move into being GREAT.

I love the business and beauty industry and all that comes with it. From skincare to nutrition, this is my lane! Over the years, I've been to networking events. I have been a vendor at several events. I speak at events. I do all of the things that we "business" people do. I've participated in vision board events and personal development events. I listen to the webinars, read the articles, and the books. I study the beauty industry. I listen to my business partners, friends, and acquaintances in the industry. Now I feel its time for me to use my experiences, successes, failures, resources, and knowledge in a way that gives back to others without all of the fluff. Its time that we give back to women in a meaningful way. So many are reserved to share valuable information in the business industry. I remember at one point in time in my business, no one would tell me where they were getting the business tools from that I would see them using. That's ridiculous behavior! No one wants to share the secrets. I personally will help anyone. If someone in BeautiControl sends me a message, I respond. I treat them just like they were me or someone of my team. Teamwork makes the dream work.
In April, I will be hosting the day conference called Foundation Fundamentals. The purpose of this is to build women up. There will be five classes in the day: Business, Image, Skincare, Makeup, and Bra-Fitting. In the evening we will be empowered and inspired by our amazing Celebrity Speaker. She has a story to tell. This will be a full day with many surprises, giveaways, and fun but more importantly the knowledge gained will be invaluable. I know so many business women who don't know the importance of business systems. They have the skills, the vision, and the passion but just don't know how to put it all together. We are going to get down to the nitty gritty on all of these topics. We are bringing in a major company to help with a financial plan. I know so many people who have no savings right now. There are so many women who get passed on the promotion at work because of image issues. We are going to tackle all of those things. There are some people who won't even look you in the face because of their skin. They won't wear skirts or shorts. We are going to touch on all of this. How about the women who wear the wrong bra? Or, the woman who is scared of makeup? How the heck do you put it on? Then there are those who just need a little help with what to wear without the high cost of a stylist. This is about the confidence to be YOU and I mean the very best you.
Well he paused. He said, "I want to join BeautiControl." We laughed and then he paid me for 2 people to have an all access ticket. He promised to help me promote the event and promised to help spread the word about what I do. Who knows maybe he'll join my team one day (Lord let him join! He would be a beast!!!) I am proud today to say that regardless of what I go through in my BeautiControl business, I am here to stay. I will continue to be an advocate, a supporter, and a cheerleader for women and for BeautiControl.
